Selection Guide
Germfree provides primary and secondary containment within mobile and modular laboratories that serve as the foundation to support BSL-3 operations (BSL-3 labs also require proper procedures and administrative controls). Germfree will partner with you to develop proper primary containment enclosures (Biological Safety Cabinets) as well as the secondary containment configuration of the BSL-3 laboratory.
To facilitate both domestic and international requirements, Germfree provides a line of prefabricated buildings and ISO container laboratories. Our focus is centered on building the interior spaces with the work flow of the end user guiding the design. As with all of our mobile and modular labs, the delivered product has been pre-commissioned, tested and certified ready to use and can be delivered anywhere in the world.
Germfree manufactures modular labs starting with a modular building or an ISO shipping container.
- Modular buildings are used for North American applications where trans-oceanic shipments are not required.
- Modular buildings are typically 14 feet wide and 50 feet long.

- Containers are standard ISO shipping containers and are 8 feet wide and 40 feet long.
- ISO Containers offer the ability for global deployment as all ports in the world are equipped with cranes and trailers to accomodate them.
- Additionally, ISO Shipping Containers are better suited for future movement, storage of the lab, and long term durability.
